Working the ball

Being able to work the ball will save strokes and create scoring opportunities because golf courses are set up to be challenging and require decision making and obviously, the ability to execute and shape ball flights in order to score low.

The Draw
What is a draw golf shot? For right handed players, a draw is a ball flight that travels from right to left.

The Fade
What is a fade golf shot? For right handed players, a fade is a ball flight that travels from left to right.

Hit it High
Being able to hit a golf ball higher than normal is a shot every player needs to either clear obstacles or to be able to land the ball softly on a green that is hard to hold.

Hit it Low
Being able to hit low penetrating golf shots is a must. The wind is a constant factor on the golf course and can have a significant influence on a golf ball. Beat the wind by hitting low and boring golf shots.

Straight Ball Striking
Being able to hit a fade or a draw is important, but sometimes a straight shot directly at the target is all that is needed. Eliminate side spin and hit it straight with the following setup instruction.

Spin Control
Knowing how to add extra spin to a golf ball is an advanced skill but is not difficult to learn. Spinning a golf ball back, left or right can help hold the green on difficult shots. Quite often, you may want to reduce spin so that the golf ball will advance forward after landing. Being able to control ball spin is an invaluable skill.
