To hit the golf ball and send it in the correct direction relative to aim, it is imperative that the body is lined up in such a way to promote the ball being launched parallel to the set up position.
To do this, identify the target line and then pick an intermediate point between the target and the ball. Envision an imaginary line between those two points. Build a stance in relation to that imaginary line by setting the feet parallel to the line. The legs, hips, arms and shoulders should be parallel to the same line as well.
Done correctly, the entire body should be parallel to the line which will promote sending the golf ball in the desired direction.
If one aspect of the body is not in sync with or inline with the other body alignments, ball direction can become unpredictable as misaligned body positioning will cause a number of swing errors.
