TaylorMade TP Series Golf Balls

Although the TaylorMade TP Series golf balls have been in play for several years now, I just can't get enough of them and they are without a doubt my preferred choice in golf balls. Although I sample and play with many different brands, the TP Red Series is the go to ball for my level of play. I strongly believe that the TP Red goes about 10-15 yards further than the Titlist's Pro V1 and is just as easy to control. -And as a bonus, are a few dollars cheaper per dozen. The other component is the TP Black which is an excellent ball in its own right but is designed to be more of a distance ball.

The differences between the TP Red and the TP Black are subtle. Both feature TaylorMade's LDP (Low Drag Performance) technology which is what they describe as an aerodynamic design to maximize distance on common driver mis-hits. From what I can tell, they are right. Both models are very forgiving and can be poked out there on less than perfect hits which is a real plus.

However, the TP Red is designed as a premium long distance ball for players that can create high spin and want an increase in workablility whereas the TP Black is designed for players that produce less spin and desire more distance.

The series (Red & Black) are definitely high quality and tour caliber golf balls. More than a hundred PGA Tour players play the TaylorMade TP Series.
